Medial part of the left lobe, transverse scan.
  A hypoechogenic lesion is demonstrated on this view. Considering only this view we cannot decide whether the lesion is a nodule or not. Nevertheless the moderatley hypoechogenic structure of the dorsal and lateral part of the lobe with fibrotic changes favours thyroiditis.
